Osteopathy

Nancy studied Osteopathy at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Her Master of Osteopathic Manipulative Science Thesis explored women’s infertility and the implementation of Osteopathy as a viable treatment. Nancy is interested in the correction of physiological and anatomical in the human body to treat and prevent disease and disorder. As an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Nancy restores health by using gentle manual techniques and an in-depth knowledge of of anatomy, physiology and and biomechanics. She understands that successful treatment must address underlying causes, rather than focusing on the symptoms. Nancy has treated a wide range of symptoms and diseases. Her patients range from infants to expectant mothers to the elderly. As an athletic therapist, Nancy has worked with sports teams including the York University Varsity Football team and Canada’s National Men’s Soccer team. She graduated from York University in 2004 with an honours degree in Kinesiology and a certificate in athletic therapy. Nancy understands health as a whole system concept that includes mind, body, and spirit. She has a passion for mastering new things. Nancy maintains balance and fosters growth through many activities including: book club, continual osteopathic lectures, yoga and hiking. Nancy is a former volunteer-leader of Habitat for Humanity trips that help build affordable housing around the world. Nancy has also painted all of the paintings hanging at our Parliament and Stouffville Clinics.
